Breaking Beliefs

And how to grow a YouTube channel with it...

If you’ve grown a business before, you’ll know that there is only one thing that was stopping you from getting more clients and building bigger business:

Your beliefs.

And once you overcome those limiting beliefs, you unlock a new level of business.

  • Going from $10k/m to $100k/m

  • Going from 0 subscribers to 10k subscribers

  • Spending more money on one thing than you were ever comfortable with

The only thing that holds you back from making a transformation is your beliefs.

Rarely is it the access to information or education. Because most people already know what to do, they just haven’t done it yet.

Which would make belief-breaking content the most valuable type of content that converts to paying customers.

If you are able to break your viewer’s beliefs, the viewer satisfaction will be higher.

And if you have a product, they will be one step closer to buying.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t make your content educational and actionable (you should), but what I’ve seen is most creators have the frame of making their content the most educational with “How-to’s”, that they never stop to think how they can break beliefs.

Because it is only when you break your viewer’s beliefs, will they start to take action on your advice.

How To Identify Beliefs

Every viewer has a set of beliefs that they need to break in order to undergo a transformation.

In the case of my audience who wants to get better at scriptwriting, if I want them to buy a YouTube scriptwriting product, they have to believe the following:

  1. YouTube scripting will improve video performance

  2. YouTube scriptwriting will allow me to spend less time on camera

  3. Scripting my videos takes a long time

  4. I have 100 other things to do, scripting is the last thing on my mind

  5. Among 10 other beliefs

How To Instill These Beliefs

Once we’ve identified these beliefs, we want to instill it.

Every YouTube video that I make, I’m always considering how I can weave one of these beliefs in.

And then I will make that one of the core segments of the video.

In the first 5 minutes, I like to sell them on this core belief, because it is only once they have this belief, will they know that it is important to watch the rest of the video.

So before the education steps, I’d have a segment talking strictly about the belief.

Don’t hard pitch it, it has to come naturally.

Try it, and your videos will convert better in the next 90 days, I guarantee you.

Hope this helps,

Bryan
