Skibidi Toilet Fanum Tax

Brainrot season is killing me...

I’ve been scrolling a lot of reels.

Like a lot.

Almost till the point that I’ve been getting too many Gen Alpha brainrot reels.

And it’s starting to hurt my brain.

Although this will be the 3rd time that I vow to quit Instagram for good, I seem to keep going back.

But when I analyze my media consumption habits over the past week, still, 33% of my time on my phone goes to YouTube, while only 20% goes Instagram (I don’t use Tiktok).

And I check my search history, a good chunk of it is still educational content.

Wolf of wall street is for daily motivation

So while my consumption habits on Instagram are the furthest thing from educational videos, on YouTube, the content I’m recommended is totally different.

And if you break down why each of these 4 videos above work in order, it’d be that:

  • It appeals to nostalgia

  • The breakdown is informational

  • Daniel has great storytelling and energy

  • The topic is interesting and applicable to me

All of which are beats to hit when you’re making a viral video.

This isn’t a case of having to have all of them in a single 10 minute script, but when you optimize for 1 or 2 of these pointers, and execute beautifully, it doesn’t matter if the editing is subpar.

There WILL be an audience for it.

So while Skibidi Toilet Kai Cenat Fanum Tax is taking over all of Instagram and Tiktok, educational content isn’t dead in 2024.

You just need to make better videos.

Hope this helps,

Bryan
